Wedding Ceremony UNCUT (HD)

I keep getting asked about posting a “full” wedding ceremony online many times, so here is Tiffany & Mike’s 10-10-10 Wedding UNCUT! (Total Run Time – 18:41)

Don’t Call It Digital Video, It’s Digital FILM!

I could tell you about the wonders of DSLR Cameras that shoot HD video like film or how Camera Sliders can bring hollywood style motion to any shoot or I could show you with using them for a few minutes playing around my office.

Sorry about the goofy ending, just wanted to show you the entire area. Its only about 10′ x 15′.

Alice in Wonderland: Team Effort

I just finished a stop-motion animation for Lauren Brimhall Photography. It was part of a themed engagement shoot for a couple. Lauren couldn’t have done it alone. Besides the costume work by the couple themselves, Lauren’s husband Sean as the associate photographer and even contractor. Lesley’s Salon in East Stroudsburg provided the hair and makeup. Lehigh Valley Stems provided the flowers. Event Coordinator Danielle Pasternak also got into the act and helped contribute to the planning!

For the video animation, me and Lauren planned for creating a stop-motion animation ahead of time. To make the shots flow better, Lauren and Sean put the camera on a tripod more often than their used to and then laid on the shutter when they saw perceived motion. In editing, I first cut the music down to what was needed and lined up the photos until a flow was formed. Then in my animation program I took each image and lined it up to the one before. Frame by frame. It may only be 1:44 to you, but to me it was 3 days of solid editing! It may have been a lot of work, but it was EXCITING to see the end product. GO TEAM!

New for 2011!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

With the new year comes new tools to help us make our productions look even better!

We already shoot all of our weddings in full HD. We already use all the tools of the trade you’d expect to get film like quality. Now, we’re even better!

This wedding video from a production company in California shows off the same equipment we plan to be using!

Don’t you just want to get married right now???

Here’s to capturing more amazing memories in 2011 & beyond!

10-10-10 Preview

A quick Christmas preview of Tiffany and Mikey’s 10-10-10 wedding.

Video highlights our REAL FILM add-on of Super 8mm coverage, now available with all packages!

The Surprise Co-Star

Every wedding video has its stars. Besides the obvious (The B&G of course) they’re always are a few star players which often including mom’s, dad’s, most always grandparents (or better yet great-grandparents!) or just that crazy cousin that dances uncomfortably close to every woman and it shows on their faces.

But now and then there are a few co-stars that really shine.

Meet Ava the flower girl, one bride’s niece. Often I may not notice these “stand outs” until I’m back in the edit suite, but this time Ava stood out early on.

She was always looking on in wonderment. Her mom was proud of her being able to get herself ready. Later she continued to stare often at the bride. She revelled in her flower basket duties with anyone who would take interest. After the dance floor opened up, she and another girl both became Cinderellas for the evening. (…and Ava was also dressing the part!)

My advice to my future Brides: If you know someone that stands out in your family (of any age) be sure to let us know so we won’t miss your Ava!

Perfect 10-10-10!

I’m busy going through two days of video from this weekend’s AMAZING 10-10-10 wedding of Tiffany and Mikey!

The Bride’s family hosted the wedding at their private lake near Lake Wallenpaupack. It was organized by the amazing wedding planners at The Colonnade in Scranton! Besides the 10-10-10 wedding, they also hosted a prenuptial pig roast with the local country band Farmer’s Daugher, which I got some shots of as well.

I also shot 2 rolls of Super 8 Film that I’m now sending out for processing. I can’t wait to see how the film turns out!

It was one of those weddings where I just had to turn the camera on to make it look good! I of course did much more than that! I’ve never been so overwhelmed with such a photographic landscape for a wedding to be held on. Not to mention the couple and their family we’re beautiful too!

I also can’t forget to say how the entire family was a joy to work for and incredibly gracious, especially when I misplaced my keys and had to search them out at the end of the night!

Another amazing person working this event was second videographer and friend Jason Dillard, who stayed late to search for said keys with flashlights in the dark! I couldn’t have done such an amazing job without his help covering the big day.

I’ll have plenty more about this wedding to share  later into this holiday season when I get deep into the edits (including the family and couple’s amazing back-story involving Haiti), but for now here’s a few screen grabs! Congratulations again Tiffany and Mike!

These are just random shots of the best STILLS from my raw video too! Can’t wait to share MOVING PICTURES from this amazingly beautiful wedding!

“The Colonnade Bridal Event” Sunday in Scranton

The Colonnade in Scranton is hosting a Bridal Event this Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 4-6pm, sponcered by Happenings Magazine.

I will be there to videotape the event for Endless Creative, my professional videography brand. You can also stop by to view some wedding video samples of mine, but best of all you can check me out in action!

Paul Blackledge and Joshua Mast own the history property at 401 Jefferson Avenue in Scranton know as “The Colonnade“. They renovated the building into an elegant space for special events, complete with a boutique hotel. The Colonnade hosts engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions and overnight guests.  Besides a great space, the food is just as amazing! Their executive chef Mark Perry is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.

Besides just having a spectacular space, they also offer their experienced wedding planning services off site as well. In fact, I’ll be videotaping a large wedding for Paul just next weekend on the great date of 10-10-10! Sugestioing Me As The Videographer Is More Proof that Paul has great taste!

You can register for the event and download an event guide at Happenings Magazine’s website http://www.happeningsmagazinepa.com/ Just scroll down to the “Bridal Guide” section.

See You Sunday!

1 Camera = Still Plenty of Coverage!

Congratulations again to Linda & Doug on their wedding this past weekend! The weather was perfect and this early switch to fall made for a beautiful backdrop to go with their fall color flower choices!

They chose my one cameraman package, which was perfect for the size of their wedding. However it doesn’t mean they got any less of me! I still bring with me two cameras to try and double cover major events, as well as having a back-up camera just in case.  For this wedding I brought one compact 3-chip HD camera and another full size HD camera, each to meet the unique challenges of documenting a wedding day. While I can can’t be two places at once like a 2 cameraman package, I do setup one camera on a tripod while running the other handheld.

The small camera is perfect for getting around easily without disturbing family or guests, like your hotel room when your getting ready or moving around on the crowded dance floor.

FindTheVideoGuy!

The large camera is great for the highest quality images (from the full size Fujinon zoom lens) and wireless sound.

For Linda and Doug I captured well over 5 hours of footage over the course of the evening. For you tech geeks… since I shoot in full HD I ended up recording nearly 60 gigabytes of data! That’s over 12 DVDs or 83 CDs full of data!!! Just imagine the demands of a 2 cameraman package with extended hours!

This also adds up to one tired cameraman! However I wouldn’t change it for the world, because I get to create something beautiful that allows families to relive the celebration of the newest branch to their family tree with life-like high definition moving pictures!
